The FAQ (inherited from stackoverflow) states

"Avoid asking questions that are subjective, argumentative, or require extended discussion. This is not a discussion board, this is a place for questions that can be answered!"

IMHO- long rambling discussions are fine but they should be marked as for the community wiki. This platform is well suited to direct questions and clear answers (this is what makes the points & voting work)

What does everyone else think about this? If we are going to stick to this policy, most of the posts so far are tagged incorrectly...
